This Is The 2022 Nissan Frontier – Coming Soon To Centennial Nissan

The all-new, eighth-generation 2022 Nissan Frontier is due to arrive in Nissan showrooms in the summer of 2021 with a 310-horsepower V6, standard four-wheel-drive, and a full slate of Safety Shield 360 technologies.

The Frontier's newly aggressive style is set off by a nearly vertical grille, distinct lighting elements, bold colour choices that highlight strong shoulderlines and fender bulges, and a classic Nissan look that's been part of the company's business for 62 years. This new Frontier comes on the heels of a big year for midsize pickup truck sales – market share in Prince Edward Island grew by 40%. New interest in "right-sized" trucks means you'll be seeing plenty of these pickups on the road in the coming months.

Capability is at the centre of every truck conversation. This new Frontier is designed to tow up to 6,720 pounds. There's a factory-applied spray-on bedliner, a dampened assist tailgate, traditional four-wheel-drive with 4HI and 4LO modes, Nissan's brilliant Utili-Track channel tie down system, and far superior ride and handling. Road vibration is apparently down by 80%. The brakes are better, the steering is quicker but requires less effort, and there's a new PRO-4X model that takes off-road capability to another level.

Inside, safety comes first. Safety Shield 360 includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, rear automatic braking, forward collision warning, and rear door alert. More technology in the Frontier includes standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, an available 9-inch touchscreen, an optional Around View Monitor, and Fender audio. There are Zero Gravity seats in every new Frontier along with major improvements to acoustic quality that bring ambient noise levels way down. 

Every Frontier includes four-wheel drive and a 310-horsepower V6 (with a 9-speed automatic), but there are still plenty of configurations to choose from. The extended King Cab model can be selected as an S, SV, and PRO-4X, all with a 6-foot bed. The 2022 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab is available as an SV with the 6-foot bed or the PRO-4X with a 5-foot bed. Colour options are numerous: Glacier White, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Red Alert, Cardinal Red Metallic TriCoat, Deep Blue Pearl, Baja Storm, Tactical Green Metallic, and Boulder Grey Pearl.

The 2022 Nissan Frontier arrives in Centennial Nissan showrooms this summer, in both Charlottetown and Summerside.
