CENTENNIAL CARES

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY ONE CUSTOMER AT A TIME

Special Announcement by Centennial Auto Group

March 23, 2020

As the crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic deepens, Centennial Auto Group’s focus is the health and well-being of our staff and customers. It’s been more than one week since we instituted greater disinfecting measures in all of our facilities to maintain a high level of cleanliness. Those measures are just one component in our strategy of ensuring social distancing while also conducting essential business.

We remain committed to our responsibility of keeping people on the move, but we also take very seriously Dr. Heather Morrison’s edict: “The best way we can come together right now is by staying apart.”

CAN I GET MY CAR SERVICED?

Yes, we are open, but with limited staffing.. There are thousands of Islanders who must still go to work each and every day, many of whom are working longer and more challenging hours. We know your vehicle is an essential part of your day, and we’re still here to keep you going. Our stores are off-limits to anyone who is self-isolating or displaying any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms. We’re also endeavouring to limit occupancy. But we can work with you to schedule pick-up and drop-off, and we’ll do so only by taking rigorous disinfecting procedures.

ARE YOUR STORES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?

Yes and no. Last week, we adopted proactive measures to close our new vehicle showrooms, both to protect staff and customers. Our service departments remain open, but we ask that you limit non-essential visits and call ahead to discuss your vehicle’s requirements.

IS CENTENNIAL ESSENTIAL?

Yes. In accordance with the Chief Public Health Office’s recommendations, we are balancing essential business with corresponding measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. “We ask that operators be available to meet the needs of Islanders when services are needed,” the Chief Public Health Office told dealers on March 20. The service departments of automobile businesses remain essential because interruption of such service could “endanger the life, health, or personal safety of the whole or part of the population.” We will keep people on the move.

WHAT IF I NEED A NEW CAR?

Managers remain on staff in each store to offer assistance to current customers who are encountering issues. Given the fact that there are people who will still need to acquire a new vehicle, each manager has the tools required to execute a transaction in as flexible a manner as necessary while practicing social distancing. The Chief Public Health Office has clarified that “businesses are permitted to sell online or over the phone and arrange delivery or pick up of purchases.” Fortunately, automobile manufacturers have stepped forward with an array of new financing options and deferral programs to ease the burden of acquiring a new vehicle.

We’re still here for you.
