4 REASONS MORE THAN 20,000 CANADIANS HAVE CHOSEN THE NISSAN QASHQAI

The Nissan Qashqai is the most popular vehicle in its class in Canada. In fact, the Qashqai's unparalleled popularity means there's really only a race for second place. More than 20,000 Qashqais have been sold in Canada since the Nissan crossover arrived on the market in May 2017.

It's not just one of the most popular subcompact crossovers - it's one of Canada's best-selling SUVs/crossovers outright.

Why?

Everybody has their own reasons, but we think we can sum up a number of them in four concise groupings.

4. TECH
For too long, the decision to choose a smaller vehicle seemed to force car buyers into accepting less. Less content. Less equipment. Less luxury.

The Qashqai ignores that unfortunate history and offers a huge selection of high-tech elements. The Qashqai SL features a navigation system operated through a 7-inch touchscreen along with an amazing Around View Monitor. The SL Platinum, meanwhile, includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Lane Departure Warning and auto high beams, for instance, plus Intelligent Cruise Control that automatically slows when approaching slow-moving traffic.

3. COLOUR
Are you tired of monochromatic highways? You'd almost think that greys and beiges and blacks and whites are the only colours in the auto industry's palette.  Fortunately, the Nissan Qashqai can be selected in an array of vibrant colour choices, from Caspian Blue to Palatial Ruby to Monarch Orange and Nitro Lime.

Of course, you can stick with the standard choices, as well: Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic, Glacier White, and Pearl White.

2. LEGS
Nissan sells the Armada, Pathfinder, Murano, and Rogue, four utility vehicles that are substantially larger than the Qashqai on the outside. So does that mean the Qashqai is too small on the inside? Not at all. There are 33.4 inches of rear legroom, for example, plenty of room for rear seat comfort.

2018 Nissan Qashqai Divide N Hide

1. DIVIDE-N-HIDE
With smaller vehicles, just as in smaller workspaces or smaller rooms in your house, the utilization of available space becomes hugely important. That's where the Divide-N-Hide cargo management steps in. Expand the height of the load floor; lower the height of the load floor. Use part of the load floor as a barrier, or store stuff under the load floor. Whatever you do, the Qashqai's fold-flat rear seat opens up a cargo area that's 1,582-mm deep and 1,377-mm across. It's vast, which isn't a characteristic you expect to find in the Qashqai's category.
